Introduction: Embracing the Golden Years with Confidence and Fulfilment Retirement. For many, it’s a word laden with mixed emotions. Some eagerly anticipate the freedom and leisure it promises, while others approach it with uncertainty and even trepidation.
But what if I told you that the best is yet to come? What if I revealed that retirement can be a time of incredible growth, joy, and purpose? Welcome to “The Best Is Yet to Come: A Psychologist’s Guide to Thriving in Retirement.“
Denise (verified owner) –
While many look forward to ‘retirement,’ the transition from a daily organized/calendared schedule to uncertainty about what (if anything) to do and when can be daunting. After the initial euphoria of not having to hit the snooze button, after making plans to take the trips that have long been delayed, how does one choose the best way to ‘retire’? How does one effectively handle the anxiety that is bound to set in? How does aging affect one’s physical, mental, and psychological well-being?
This book helps to provide the answers. And bonus- it is an easy read. Get it for your coffee table, get an extra copy to keep in your traveling kit, and get copies for your friends who are pre-retirees and retirees. Make it a stocking stuffer this year.

Dr. Horace A. Williams –
This book is a very valuable resource.
It makes easy reading, is well structured and outlines the concepts plainly.
As we examine the aging population and the extent that in Jamaica only 11% of the working population are in a structured pension plan , and so many persons are on PATH and the number of Social cases in hospital the contents of this book is a must read.
Additionally it is hoped that some institutions such as the Ministry of Labour and Social Security endorse this book and acquire copies.
Well done Dr SEmaj
